Your health is an important part of your academic success at Mills. Mills College collaborates with the University Health Services (UHS) at U.C. Berkeley to provide medical care to all undergraduate and graduate students. The UHS Tang Center is a state-of-the-art outpatient medical center that provides comprehensive medical, health promotion, social support and mental health services to students on the Mills College and UC Berkeley campuses.
The Health Programs Unit is one of several campus resources available to help you maintain your health. Health Programs works closely with UHS clinicians and staff to coordinate care for Mills students, and provides campus support and services in the following areas:
Program Areas
Health Program Development—including coordinating various health promotion activities and campus-wide health education events like the annual Health & Community Service Fair, Blood & Marrow Drive, Massage Day, and Flu Clinic.
Medical Case Management—including providing assistance with scheduling Tang appointments, community referrals, follow-up care, and individual wellness consultations related to stress management, sleep hygiene, relationships, depression/anxiety, sexual assault, and pregnancy.
Campus Outreach and Trainings—including facilitating campus and Division of Student Life orientations and trainings on health topics, and coordinating outreach strategies to effectively raise campus awareness of important health issues.
Student Leadership Development—including supporting the Mills/UHS Student Advisory Committee (SHAC) and other student-led health initiatives.
