Services & Accommodations

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) currently provides the following services and accommodations:

Academic Accommodations

  • large print materials
  • extended exam times
  • exams in distraction-reduced environment
  • modified exams

Services

  • help with ordering taped texts

Small Equipment/Auxiliary Aids

  • tape recorders
  • hearing amplification aids
  • magnifying equipment
  • Optelec CCTV-enlarger for reading

The director of Services for Students with Disabilities is an advisor and advocate to Mills students with disabilities and a liaison between students with disabilities and the faculty. Other responsibilities include interpreting documentation, assessing students' needs for services and accommodations.
