Oakland, CA–June 12, 2009. Mills College Trustee Thomas Ehrlich is speaking at the 7th Annual American Democracy Project (ADP) National Meeting, held in Baltimore from June 11–13, 2009. His talk Civic Work 2.0: Using Digital Media to Promote Student Civic Engagement is part of the conference's theme "Diversity and Civic Engagement."
Ehrlich is a senior scholar at the Stanford-based Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and co-directs its programs such as the Political Engagement Project, the Project on Foundations and Education, and the Business, Entrepreneurship, and Liberal Learning project.
He is a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School.
The American Democracy Project is a multi-campus initiative by 231 participating members of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and The New York Times to prepare college graduates to become committed and involved citizens in their communities to promote democracy.
