KALW-FM RADIO TO AIR MILLS STUDENTS’ GENERATION GAP PROGRAM

Oakland, CA - A Mills student radio program based on a collaboration between Mills College, National Public Radio (NPR), and KALW-FM radio will be broadcast on KALW, 91.7 FM on Wednesday, November 15 at 1 pm and 7 pm, and aired again on Sunday, November 19 at 3:30 pm.

The radio program is part of NPR's Next Generation project. Next Generation Radio is a weeklong series of student training projects designed to give students interested in radio and journalism the skills and opportunity to report, write, and produce their own radio story.

Five Mills students worked with seasoned journalists to create radio reports examining the theme of the generation gap.

Tune in to hear the stories of Mills students Hallee Berg, Thea Chroman, Alexandra Kostoulas, Alma Nava, and LeJeana Reagan.
