CREATIVE WOMEN SYMPOSIUM TO FEATURE TWO MILLS PROFESSORS
Oakland, CA - “Change as a Creative Opportunity” is the theme of the 2nd Annual Creative Women Symposium featuring presentations by two Mills professors on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Arts Benicia Gallery. The gathering will take place from 3 pm to 5 pm at 991 Tyler Street, Suite 114, Benecia. Suggested donations of $5.00 will be accepted at the door.
Ruth Saxton, Mills English professor, and Laura Nathan, Mills professor emerita, will lead participants in exploring the impact of life changes on creative growth. Discussions and a moderated panel will cover topics such as “Coupling, Uncoupling and Recouping,” “Aging Creatively in a Society Dismissive of Elders,” “Career Changes,” and “Caring for Aging Parents.”
The Symposium is presented by ARTS BENICIA, the American Association of University Women, League of Women Voters Benicia, Vallejo Community Arts Foundation, and Vallejo Symphony.
