Vera M. Long Building for the Social Sciences Take a Virtual Tour of Mills
The Vera Long Building is a spectacular example of modern educational design. Dedicated in 2004, the building honors Vera M. Long ’35, a former Mills Trustee and patron of the remodeling. It houses the Mills Social Sciences Division. The design provides ample common space for students and faculty to gather informally. And the Charles E. Larsen classroom offers a bright and airy space equipped with the latest in educational technology to facilitate high-tech presentations. Architectural accents include polished oak floors, curved iron grillwork, decorative tiles, small balconies, and a meticulously landscaped patio.
