Commuter Lounges and Resources

Suzie's Commuter Lounge

Located in Rothwell Center, right off the Suzanne Adams Plaza, Suzie's provides a space for the Mills Community to come together. It's a great place to rest and recharge between classes.

Comfortable, overstuffed chairs and couches await you, as well as a television, video game machine, juke box, and pool table.

The lounge is staffed by the Commuter Lounge Manager from the Office of Student Activities who manages the space, organizes occasional social activities, and updates the commuter resource information.

Commuter Resources

The following services are designed especially for commuters. Just pick up a key from Public Safety to take advantage of these great resources.

Commuter Kitchen
The kitchen is located in the Student Union, adjacent to Suzie's Commuter Lounge. The kitchen includes a microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, blender, and other small appliances for your use.

Commuter Locker
Lockers are located in the space right outside the Commuter Kitchen. These lockers are free of charge and are issued on a semester basis by the Commuter Lounge Manager. Since there are limited lockers, you will be encouraged to share.  Lockers are available on a first come first serve basis.  Just bring your own lock.

Commuter Computer Lab
The lab is a quiet space close to the other commuter resources for you to stop in and check your email, finish up a paper before a class, or do some Internet research.

Guest Rooms

If you need to stay on campus overnight because of an event, mid-term, or final, you can book a guest room for a small fee. Rooms can be reserved in advance through Conference Services at 510.430.2145.
