Recreational classes are non-credit, fee-based classes offered to the Mills Community. For free recreational classes, please see the Recreational Games, Intramural Sports, and Clubs page. Students, faculty, staff, alumnae/ alumni and community members may participate. Classes meet in the evenings and are not listed in the Mills College course catalog. For more information on recreational classes, please contact the instructor directly. Please note that fees for recreational classes will be due at the first class meeting.

Water Exercise Aqua Aerobics: Sundays 9-10 am, Tuesdays 7-8 pm Deep Water Workout: Thursdays 7-8 pm Mills College Pool, Trefethen Aquatic Center Cost: General Public - $10 per class (Book of 10 tickets available for $80) Mills Students - $3 per class
Aqua Aerobics is a fun, invigorating workout in shallow water to great music. Shoes are optional but highly recommended. No swimming skills are required. Most exercises are performed in a vertical position. People of all fitness levels are welcome. Weekday evening classes held during the summer only, weekend classes held year-round.
Deep Water Workout is a fun, impact-free workout using flotation equipment to stabilize your posture for a full body workout. This class challenges you to lengthen your body while strengthening core muscles. Class includes water running. Participants must be comfortable in deep water. Flotation provided, 25-person max in class. Class offered May-October only.

Adult and child swim lessons are available at the pool. Private lessons are available year round, by arrangement. Group lessons (children and adult) are available during the summer. Lifeguard and water safety instructor training are available in the late spring and throughout summer, as well.
