AAMC 2008 Tours
The Travel Committee of the Alumnae Association of Mills College plans several exciting trips each year, featuring a wide range of opportunities, interests, and learning in a variety of formats. Proceeds from these travel programs benefit the AAMC.

Holiday Markets Along the Danube Arrive in Vienna, Austria's romantic capital, to board your luxurious river vessel for this relaxing cruise along the Danube. Enjoy guided sightseeing and beautiful Christmas markets in Vienna, Regensburg, and Nuremberg. In Melk, visit the magnificent Benedictine abbey, one of Europe's largest monasteries. An optional full-day excursion to Salzburg takes in the popular Sound of Music sights as well as more Christmas cheer. Disembark in Nuremberg and drive to Prague for two nights in the Czech capital. Grand Tour of Egypt Guided sightseeing from Cairo to visit the Sphinx, the Great Pyramids, and the seaport of Alexandria. Travel to Memphis, and then take a three-night cruise on the Nile. We are offering a variety of trips chosen for their quality and value realized through group travel. The camaraderie of alumnae travel enhances the scenic visits and educational opportunities. Space is generally limited per our allotments. We urge a timely registration in order not to be disappointed.
Morocco If you crave adventure, this trip is for you. Beginning and ending in Casablanca, you will visit Meknes and Fez and wind through the Middle Atlas Mountain range to Er-Rachidia of French Foreign Legion fame. Galapagos and Macchu-Picchu This excursion begins in Lima, Peru, with a walking tour of the city, cathedral, and San Francisco Monastery, followed by a flight to Cuzco, once the capital of the Inca Empire. A train ride ushers you through the Urubamba Valley to Machu Picchu. Then you fly to Quito with an excursion to Cotopaxi National Park and ride on the Chiva Express.
