A Message from the President of the Alumnae Association of Mills College

The Alumnae Association of Mills College looks forward to welcoming you back to campus for Reunion 2009 to rediscover Mills. The College community will be alive with events that honor longstanding traditions, celebrate changes on campus and in the curriculum, and recognize recent achievements by alumnae and the College. Reconnect with old friends, make new ones, share stories, sing the old songs, and become a student again by attending classes, discussions, exhibits, and performances.

Join your Mills friends in delighting in the beauty of the campus with tours of the renovated Jeannik Méquet Littlefield Concert Hall, the new building for the Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business, and your former dorm. We will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Summer Academic Workshop, which readies first-generation college students for their first semester at Mills. And you'll be able to learn more about work to make the College's campus more sustainable—and eat a delicious meal of locally sourced food.

Be assured that traditional favorites such as the President's Garden Reception, classroom visits, class photos, class dinners, and the Darius Milhaud Concert remain integral parts of Reunion. The Alumnae Association is proud to continue a tradition begun two years ago: the AAMC Alumnae Awards Ceremony at the Saturday luncheon, where you can sit with members of your graduating class. Extend your time with friends by participating in the post-Reunion Wine Country Trip, sponsored by the AAMC Travel Committee.

I look forward to meeting you as we reconnect with each other and the College, celebrate our accomplishments, and move forward with renewed energy in our roles as alumnae in the Mills community. Join me in rediscovering what we loved about Mills as we discover new treasures to cherish.
