October 1-4, 2009 Convocation on October 2 featuring Stephanie Mills '69
Mills College wants you back for a weekend of rediscovery: of reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, revisiting historic spaces and exploring innovative architecture, rejoicing in our environment and learning about efforts to preserve it, reviving traditions and celebrating creativity. This Reunion honors, in particular, the Golden Girls of 1959 and alumnae from class years ending in 4 and 9.
The College's Alumnae Relations Program and the Alumnae Association of Mills College (AAMC) are planning four days of activities that will allow you to relive old memories and experience the thriving campus community. Highlights of this year's Reunion include:
Thursday, October 1
- Class of 1949 visit to the California Academy of Sciences
- Cocktail reception and dinner for all Golden Girls
Friday, October 2
- Faculty and student panels
- Convocation for the 2009-10 academic year with speaker Stephanie Mills '69, whose leadership as an ecological activist and author began with her nationally acclaimed 1969 commencement address at Mills
- Garden reception hosted by Mills College President Janet L. Holmgren
- Special dinner at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco for the Class of 1959
- Darius Milhaud Concert
Saturday, October 3
- State of the College presentation by Mills College President Janet L. Holmgren and AAMC President Anita Aragon Bowers '63
- AAMC Awards Ceremony and Class Luncheon
- Photo sessions and dinners for the Classes of 1944, 1949, 1954, 1959 (50th Reunion), 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004
Sunday, October 4
- Remembrance service
- Three-day post-Reunion Wine Country trip begins
Discover more! You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the renovated Jeannik Méquet Littlefield Concert Hall and a sneak preview of the Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business Building; the 20th anniversary celebration of the Summer Academic Workshop (SAW) program; a networking social for graduate alumnae/i; a financial literacy workshop targeted to young alumnae; a tour of your former dorm; and attending classes with students—all soon to be scheduled.
How to get the scoop on Reunion and register
Brochure. A brochure with complete information about Reunion events and a registration form will be mailed in the summer to all alumnae from class years ending in 4 and 9 as well as alumnae in the Bay Area. If you are not a member of one of these groups but would like to receive the brochure, please call us at the number below or send an email with "Reunion brochure" in the subject line and let us know your full name as a student and current name (if different), and your class year, phone number, and mailing address.

The College invited all Mills alumnae back to campus for Reunion 2008. We issued a special call to members of the Class of 1958, who celebrated their 50th Reunion, as well as to members of classes with years ending in 3 and 8.
We were delighted to welcome 250 alumnae and around 70 of their spouses, partners, and guests to celebrate their ongoing connection to the College. The number of alumnae registered for Reunion represented a 55 percent increase over figures for Reunion 2007.
