The Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty is responsible for administration of all undergraduate and graduate academic programs of the four academic divisions including: Fine Arts; Letters; Natural Sciences; and Social Sciences; and also of the Graduate School of Business and the School of Education. The Provost and Dean of the Faculty also oversees the Mills College Art Museum.

The Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty oversees all academic recruitment, staffing and program budgets, and provides support to the faculty governance system and to the Board of Trustees. The Office also administers faculty development grants, the Tuition Exchange program, and academic institutional data collection.
