Mills College reserves the right to photograph students for the purpose of institutional promotion. Whenever possible, Mills observes the common practice among colleges of obtaining individual permissions for the use of campus photographs in which students are prominently featured. However, permissions are not obtained for the use of student images in photographs of public events on campus, such as rehearsals, performances, lectures, readings, athletic events, student life events, alumnae events, and College ceremonies. Academic departments, such as but not limited to Dance, Music, and Art, also reserve the right to photograph students and their work for institutional use.
