Health Insurance After Graduation

If you will be completing your degree in January 2008 and you are on the Student Health Insurance Plan, known as SHIP, it is time to begin planning for health insurance after Mills. The SHIP coverage and eligibility to use the University Health Services will end January 14, 2008. With this in mind, plan to make important medical appointments with your clinician as soon as possible at the Tang Center and stock up on medications your may use regularly.

If you are on your parents medical insurance coverage, check if there is an age limit on this coverage. Sometimes it ends when you complete your academic work and graduate.

If you would like to get more information about insurance after you graduate, an orange  brochure has been prepared for you to pick up with options of Medical Insurance programs that you can consider in the future.  These are available at the Cowell Building and you can also arrange an appointment to discuss the options and get questions answered by the Health Program Office by calling 430.2130.
