Womanist Journal

Founded in 1992, The Womanist, A Women of Color Journal is an annual publication featuring prose, poetry and artwork by students, alumnae, faculty, and staff of color. The publication is compiled and edited by a group of Mills students. The Womanist provides an opportunity for women of color at Mills to critically and creatively share stories of celebration and resistance. The Womanist staff assist self identified women of color in refining their skills in organizing, writing, editing and graphic design.

The Womanist welcomes submissions with the following guidelines:

Deadline: December 1, 2009

Writing Submission Guidelines
May not exceed 1,000 words
Send as .doc document
For prose: 1 space between sentences, no space between paragraphs

Visual Guidelines
If possible, submit as .tiff file.
